L’Agence Team Joins Native Plant Restoration in Cabarete Lagoon

On December 6, EcoSoluciones RD and Global Coralition hosted a native plant restoration activity with employees from L’Agence, planting 120 coastal species and strengthening environmental awareness through hands-on learning and team-building activities.

On December 6, Global Coralition — through its operational hub EcoSoluciones RD — hosted an active and engaging morning of environmental restoration with 11 employees from L’Agence at the Cabarete Lagoon. The experience combined native planting, ecological learning, and team-building dynamics designed to connect participants with the natural environment.

Native Plant Restoration

During the field activity, the team planted 120 native plants, including Uva de playa and Mara. These species play an essential role in stabilizing soil, protecting the lagoon’s edges, and strengthening the overall health and resilience of the coastal ecosystem.

The planting session not only contributed directly to the restoration of the area but also allowed participants to learn about the ecological value of native vegetation and its role in coastal protection.

Team Building and Interactive Learning

In addition to the planting efforts, participants took part in several group activities designed to deepen their understanding of ecosystem dynamics and strengthen collaboration within the team:

  • Web of Life Activity: Demonstrating how every component of an ecosystem is interconnected.

  • Nature and Trust Exercise: A sensory experience encouraging participants to observe the environment more attentively and build trust among team members.

These activities helped reinforce key ecological concepts while fostering teamwork, reflection, and connection with nature.

A Meaningful and Collaborative Experience

The restoration activity was highly positive and participatory. The L’Agence team worked together, learned about the ecological importance of the lagoon, and contributed in a tangible way to the recovery of the area.

We extend a special thank you to L’Agence for their continued commitment to the community. One of their long-time property owners — who has partnered with the agency for over 20 years — chose to share part of their rental income with the local community as an expression of gratitude. Their generosity highlights the powerful role that individuals and businesses can play in supporting environmental conservation and community well-being.

For both the participants and our team, it was a meaningful morning of collaboration, awareness, and environmental stewardship.
